Autumn Leaf

I watched a YouTube video today on shooting leaves using backlighting provided by flash. The technique produced wonderfully vibrant detailed images on a black background. I just had to have a go.

Sadly, even after digging out the instructions I totally failed to get the flash to fire. Eventually I found that the battery in the transmitter was dead, and I didn’t have a replacement :-(

Plan B was to dig out the light pad and take my shots. This of course meant the background was white. Photoshop (on iPad) came to the rescue!

Well it kept me busy on a dreary Sunday afternoon.
