Advent

It's the first Advent Sunday and the candle is lit. Advent is the lead up to Christmas - a time of contemplation and joy and appreciation of what we have, the family and friends.
When I grew up in Germany I loved the Advent Sundays. We would bake, read stories, go for long walks and enjoy precious time together. I did the same when my boys were little. There's no need for 24/7 shopping and list of things we 'must' have.
