Blip Advent Calendar Day 1!

For several years now I've set about creating my very own blip advent calendar with a festive photo, in one where or another, behind each "window" up until Christmas Day. I've found it to be a fun little project so here I go again!

The photos tend to be a mixture of Christmas lights I see on my evening strolls, festive bits from school, shop displays and so on...alongside photos of what my December weekends, and a couple of festive holiday days, look like in the run up to Christmas. I hope you enjoy opening each window.

Today I am kicking off with a photo that shows how the sunshine came after the rain today. It was absolutely torrential until around 10am when the sky gradually started to brighten. By the time I had climbed up to the tops near The White House there was blue sky to be enjoyed. It was short lived but I got to enjoy it. :-) 

Oh and also in keeping with previous years, I'm going to add a quote each day because you know I love a good quote!
