Potential For Improvement

About a year ago I discovered this gorgeous old cottage whilst out walking. It is an historic property on the Oakly Park Estate at Bromfield, and very close to the  Priory Gatehouse

Today whilst walking past I could see the grounds had been cleared and the house boarded up. Apparently the elderly resident has been admitted to a Care Home.and  clearly there are moves to prepare the house for sale or let to new occupants.

I may not get another chance to blip in its current state so I had a right good rummage and was amazed at how dilapidated it is, and there are numerous greenhouses and sheds in a terrible state of disrepair.

It is hauntingly beautiful in its run down condition but will one day make a fabulous riverside home for somebody...
