THE LAST HYDRANGEA

A busy day today.  We didn't go over to see Mum today because our Niece from Skipton and her family were going over to see her as well as my othe niece and my sister and he boyfriend and it would be too much for Mum.  Instead of all piling into her little lounge though they were all going out for an afternoon Sunday lunch, so she will enjoy that.

This morning I received a message on Messenger from said Niece In Skipton.   She is doing messenger advent calendar for the family and the first one was of our Great Niece by the Skipton Canal singing Ding Dong Merrily on High in typical schoolgirl fashion and such a wonderful surprise.  I'm wondering what the next 24 windows will be!!!

As we weren't visiting Mum today, rather than waste the day I cleaned the en-suite!!!! Now if that wasn't exciting enough we've now got the Christmas decorations down from the loft.  Hubby assembled the tree, thanks to instructions left by Garron as he normally does that.  However I am now decorating it, it will have to stay up, unbaubled and unlit until he  arrives.  It is one of the things he can do as he can put a few baubles on, have a rest and so on and he likes doing it.

We have decided  this will be the last year that we have this particular tree. It is a pre-lit tree but the top half now doesn't work so we have a string to loop round the upper half.  Next year we will be a smaller (probably 4 ft one, which will sit on the table in the corner, so it will be sad farewell to the current one, which has served us well over a number of years.

I will decorate the room out on Tuesday I think, we will just how to walk around them out in the hall until I do.

I wondered what I could blip, so I chose this hydrangea because hubby has now pruned all the bushes ready for next Spring so there are no more.  When they bloom though they just keep on giving, even when dead  like this it still looks rather attractive, I think so anyway.

That's all from me for today - do take care and stay safe and I will see  you all tomorrow.
