Role Model
It would be lovely to be taking a long run up to a wind down in advance of Christmas, but sadly it does not seem to be the case.
Lots to do, but I had a mad morning clearing those jobs which you put on the back burner and feeling pretty happy with myself, I accepted an invitation from a friend to take a lunchtime walk up to Scrogg’s Wood.
Beautiful day, cold and clear (extras), but so nice to be outside and soaking up even a little bit of it. We walked and talked as her youngest scurried about and nursed a found football along the path.
Can’t say I was too keen to get back to work, but back to it I was until the arrival of the wee ones, which brings me to the piece of work pictured here.
At her recent parents evening I had stumbled across a comment (“My dad is a role model to me because he is the dame at BATS”) in one of The Youngest’s workbooks. Obviously, I was chuffed to bits, but didn’t think anything more of it until she rocked up with this project and requested some photos of me as “The Dame” for her project.
She also requested a poster for the Panto and said that while she was doing her presentation to the class, she could try and sell some more tickets too!
Honestly, and people ask me why The Youngest is my favourite child……
I am biased of course, but I think she’s done a cracking job and I particularly like the little details she’s put in around it all (extras).
Very proud and honoured. The last thing I would have described myself as is a “Role Model” more “This Is What Happens If You Make Some Bad Choices”!!
