My topsy-turvy life

By Rathmandu

Down in the tube station (not quite) at midnight

A long day at work, eventually ticking two(?!) things off the to-do list, was punctuated by a call from school saying that Owen hadn't been picked up yet. Thankfully that was just due to bad traffic and they were just around the corner.

Owen was being picked up because, after picking Louisa up from work, we had a drive over to Stafford planned to catch the train south to London. Unfortunately, the train we were supposed to be on was cancelled so we ended up a later, slower, delayed train that didn't get us into Euston until 10 o'clock. Then from there we had to get over to Holland Park for the hotel. Although, the beauty of London is that even at that time it's easy to get about even if you do look a bit windswept on the tube.

Checked in and refreshed slightly, we headed out to Shepherd's Bush for a drink (at the Defector's Weld) and eventually something to eat (late night McDonald's) before back to the hotel for some sleep.
