Saturday Soup

Today I drove out to Sudden Valley where I lived for over 20 years and was a volunteer firefighter. They really got hit hard by the storm and it will be  a while before the homes are repaired and the cleanup is done. I remember the wind storms out of the South East and it was always good to have the saws sharpened, fuel tanks topped off and some snacks put in the apparatus because usually it would be an all-nighter with multiple calls. The thermometer says it is only 42'f outside but it feels a lot colder  so I decided to put together some bean, bacon and ham soup for dinner to warm up.
