Fancy front door with wreath

Blipped on my way home from Blackford Pond. I really could hardly believe this, but one of the swans was dead on the island with injuries around its neck. I don't know what's happening at Blackford Pond - one of the adult swans was killed recently, I think in October, although at present I can't find my blip that mentioned it. I wonder if it was the same creature that killed both of them and what creature it would have been. I don't know if a fox would do this kind of thing or whether it is more likely to have have been a dog. T and I had arranged to meet at the pond but we couldn't bear to sit there so went part of the way over to the Hermitage and sat on a bench there.
