Last day of the month
Quite mild this morning - I'm not sure what the temperature was as my thermometer is playing up. Usual Saturday morning - down to the pier for fresh fish and a quick visit to the supermarket.
We popped along to Poppies (!) for coffee. Whatever they clean the tables with leaves them feeling sticky - I should have mentioned it but don't like making a fuss! Lovely view from the window - the yachts lit up against a dark sky and some interesting reflections. In the background can be seen Dunstaffnage Castle - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunstaffnage_Castle
Spent some time this afternoon raking up the last of the leaves down at street level and carrying them to the (Year 1) space behind the garage, using my new, blue, dung (manure) fork! Such an improvement on an ordinary garden fork - money well spent.
It occurred to me that maybe I should ask Santa for a leaf blower for Christmas. Not the heavy, noisy, back-pack two-stroke type that we used at work for many years, but a lightweight battery powered model. There are hundreds to choose from, but I found a really low-priced one that would serve my purpose well. Unfortunately when I clicked on it to add it to the basket I was met with a No entry sign! So I had to email the dealer to ask if they wanted to sell me one or not!
