Fiat Slug

The banana slug (Ariolimax dolichophallus) is the official mascot of the University of California at Santa Cruz. Slug gear is very popular with visitors to campus, especially since John Travolta wore a slug tshirt in Pulp Fiction many years ago. 
We had a lovely post-Thanksgiving walk in the woods, and then re-celebrated at our granddaughter’s house. It was the first time the newlyweds hosted Thanksgiving dinner, and they did a very fine job putting out a meal for 14 people. She didn’t want any help, and I didn’t push my luck—it was a real treat to just fill my plate without having to do anything else! We even got a ride, and didn’t have to worry about negotiating the dark windy road down the hill to town. We were home by 830, and swore it must be midnight. I’ve never been much of a socializer, and I was exhausted from all the input. Happily exhausted, but definitely done.
