Parade of the lanterns

Yesterday was the Winter Festival in Ellesmere which included the Lantern Parade organised by Fizzgigs, the local arts group.  All lanterns were homemade, I went to the children's workshop last weekend where I made a jellyfish.

I was asked to be the official photographer as the usual one couldn't make it. I it found a bit stressful as the usual one takes professional looking photos and I only take snaps and hope for the best.  It's a responsibility taking shots for their website and social media!  It was difficult due to the darkness contrasted with the glare of lights as well as rain, but I did my best.

The theme was "Underwater" .  My friend P made a giant Yellow Submarine which filled his worshop for a considerable time!  Father Christmas arrived at the Wharf by narrowboat and rode on top of the submarine (extra).

My blip is a few of the many photos that I took and am sorting through.
