Craighouse

A bitterly cold day, lots of frost everywhere. It doesn't clear much during the morning. Partner is out meeting friends for coffee. 

I head out for a morning walk, taking it easy. Fortunately, not much black ice. Heading up the hill, the most slippery part of the walk is a solid muddy path. The grass has quite a bit of grip. At the top, there is a nice view of Craighouse. I can see snow on the top of the Trossach mountains, but there is a lot of haze, so difficult to get a photo. Took my time descending the hill in the case of black ice, but didn't encounter any. A nice walk in cold crisp conditions.

After work, partner and I head out for a walk. It feels a lot warmer. Some of the frost has melted apart from sheltered areas. Very dark, and still very hazy. the temperature is slowly rising. Looks like the the highest temperature of the day will be around midnight.
