A detail from a mosaic/mural installation that has gone up behind New Malden station. The extra shows the whole thing, and also gives some idea as to what an unlovely location they've chosen for what is a rather fine piece of public art.

Details of the project are a little scarce on the web but there is this piece to give you some more information.

The old Decca record factory at Shannon Corner is long gone, replaced by some unremarkable retail outlets of the concrete shed variety. The other part of the business, which did pioneering work in the production of radar and navigation systems carried on much longer a little way down the road in various guises and was eventually swallowed up by Northrop-Grumman who still have their UK headquarters there.

I will return and take some better photos of some of the other panels when I can work out when the sun will be shining on them
