London meet up

TSM and I met her old school buddy G in London today, with G’s husband K. The women hadn’t met the hubbies and the men hadn’t met each other so it was great to meet new people. K and I had a huge amount in common, both hailing from South London and having many overlapping life experiences (including supporting the same football team and a shared love of London).

We walked in the sunshine and stopped for coffee in Paternoster Square and a bite on the hoof at Borough Market. Time flew by. 

Took a few shots which you can find on my website here - particularly like the Royal Exchange on Cornhill decorated with candy striped pillars for Christmas! 

Stopped for a pint at The White Hart off Union Street on the way home. Excellent Fullers Winter Ale, a dark amber beer in the winter warmer tradition. One of those days when a single beer is just right to round off a sunny winter walk.

Clocked up 20,000 steps today so feeling virtuous as well as happy…
