Late night shopping

Interesting day.
Usual supermarket delivery arrived ; pleased that a couple of Christmas essentials arrived such as turkey foil as the shops run out nearer the date.
In the evening to a meeting where we had an interesting speaker from the committee for arab british understanding (or something like that) . Can't say it was a cheerful talk but was insighful.
Then a timely debate on the Assisted Dying bill, with our MP present. Quite a moving debate and everyone behaved themselves.
Needed a couple of beers after that and, along with many others went to the Trade Union club-nice beer and chats.

Approaching midnight I thought I had better leave; unblipped, I saw that the shop next door was still open (not sure if it ever closes). . I didn't go in (I have never been in) but comforting to know that if I ever had a small hours aubergine crisis I would know where to go.
