I didn't need to

After 3 cold, sunny days that would have been great for a run but I didn't have time, today was a bit warmer according to the thermometer but grey. Having decided it was a day for a longer run I went anyway but didn't go up a hill, instead I went along some old railways, starting at the highest point where I was dropped off.
The local paths are maintained by volunteers and I passed this sign in a cutting but didn't need to act on it.
Some railway, field side path, short stretch of road to an important, local rail junction in the past, and then onto the old line again, using the junction to change tracks on the way back to Mr Rat and the car.
Some admin this afternoon and this evening is the running club's annual award night so we'll be going out again in a couple of hours.
