Gill's next project
We were in Leamington this morning to see the print making exhibition at the Leamington Society of Artists gallery/shop. Not really knowing who would be there when, Gill struck lucky in that one of the exhibitors was demonstrating cyanotype image making - likely to be a presentation for the art group next spring. One of the others was showing a print making technique where glue is used to make a pattern on a plate and art paper is the pressed onto it (once it has set) to make an embossed print. I had a discussion on 'photography for artists' with the society's chairman. They accept photography as art for display so we might both join as members and see what we can exhibit.
I can see this being her next project - although fortunately not needing any further expense as her newly acquired lino print press will do this too.
Back home and we managed to swap the car starter battery without any great drama. Much cheaper to buy a replacement on-line and DiY the fitting than pay the Honda dealer's rates!
Thanks to everyone who enjoyed the Christmas cards I blipped yesterday.
