Brief encounter
It’s been a hectic day, doing some last minute jobs for the 150th anniversary exhibition which takes place tonight and tomorrow morning at church. I was asked to print out on art board 20 special copies of a drawing of our church, each of which took nearly five minutes to print. Then the copies were labelled and wrapped, ready to be taken to church by the artist, who is selling them in aid of our organ fund. The organ was built at the same time as the church and, as such, is very elderly and costly to repair, so we have lots of fundraising efforts to ensure it will continue to be enjoyed by future generations.
I’ve also been preparing for overnight visitors, who are coming up to join in the celebrations from Dorset.
Thus I grabbed the opportunity when the sun was shining to snap this shot through the family room window to ensure that I got my blip done and dusted before our visitors arrived. The juvenile squirrels have been quite skittish today, chasing one another along the branches of the oak and ash trees, but this one stopped on the bird table just long enough to give me a picture.
