A touch of the vapours maybe?...........
I walked out of my front door and found this lovely Vapourer moth (Orgyia antiqua) larva feeding on my rose bush. I was quite surprised as I had found one a few weeks ago, but it pupated at about half this size, and has subsequently hatched into a male moth. I am wondering now if this larva is going to be a female moth? which would be very exciting as the females are flightless!!
I guess this proves you should never take anything in life for granted, things may not always be what they seem!
