Butterfield Wetlands
This is such a favourite place to walk Frida and her friends - today with Monty and his mother. We stop at this point and look for eels - though we haven’t seen any for ages. The dogs love to swim in that wee pond. There are so many tracks - we can walk for 15 minutes or several hours.
Both dogs got their nails clipped by a friend, which is great. This afternoon Jill gardened and I mowed a lawn- very hot work as it got warm today.
Then off to the Royal Society of Wānaka meeting on Healthy Housing. I came away feeling very depressed as the current government has stopped all their programmes - even though the speaker had years of research on which to base the programme.
It’s a bit like the hospital build in Dunedin being abandoned, even though all the piles are down…..
Blip is not a political forum, so I will stop there.
