Nigel and Mireia
The start of a big three-week marking project with teenagers in Tokyo - a high-stakes one as it counts towards their entry into high school. It always takes longer to mark at first as you have to get used to the content of the test and the detailed marking grids and marking notes and sometimes have to re- listen. Fingers crossed I’ll get more efficient. It runs from now till 20th December and I’ve got to try and keep on top of my marking, especially with knowing what’s coming up.
We met with Nigel and Mireia at night. They came to our house first and then we had pizzas round the corner in Don Vito’s. Lovely to catch up. Poor Mireia’s having to deal with her mother’s dementia. Of course, with Nigel’s support.
