Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Frosty!

A bit of a frost this morning, and it was still there when Archie and I went round the Links about 10.30.

JR came home from the gym with very sore legs! Though she then took Archie on a big walk in the afternoon.

I popped up to the doctor to see if I could hurry along my referral to the ‘Pain Clinic’. Such a matter-of-fact name, but I’ve been assured that they ]i]know things about elderly pain. I’m pretty stiff and sore, and actually, pretty tired after that wonderful, non-stop hectic holiday.

The doctor, whom I’ve never met before, looked as if she was straight out of med school, and in fact she was still being assessed and I had to fill in a form about her ‘performance’. All good. She can indeed refer me, missing out the ‘middleman’ of the head of physiotherapy whom I’ve been seeing for years now, but it all takes so much time.

Cuppa at 6am this morning. Getting better. It’s still a real struggle staying awake in the evening, but then I’ve always had that problem.
