Manchester is considered by many to be the clubbing capital of northern England, and some say even further. It's certainly a city for young people, with a huge student population. Here's a party tonight which I for one shall not be going to.

It's perhaps worth pointing out that the 'white' refers only to clothing, not skin colour - Manchester is also a highly cosmopolitan city, on account of both its international student population and its role as a melton pot for successive waves of immigration since WW2, and in some cases earlier.
