Christmas cake day

I made our Christmas cake today. It’s in the oven now and the kitchen smells wonderful. I have to look at it at 6.40 but it’ll probably take until 7 though. Thought I’d make a nice warming port and brandy for us seeing as how I had to open the brandy for the cake. Made whilst listening to Christmas music, and a wish made whilst stirring the cake - keeping up traditions.
