Hard hoar frost…
clung to everything all day, but looked lovely here beneath the castle in the early morning sunlight. It was -9° but rose later in the day, never above freezing. The Fieldfares were ‘sun bathing’ in the tops of the Birches. Further north, the temperatures were higher, but the loch stayed frozen and the. mountains in Strathconan were well covered in snow. This is the loch where the ‘seeing stone’ of the Brahan Seer is supposed to be lying!
