I Witness

Wild Wednesday ...

... wild turkeys.

As the weather doesn't look favorable for our traditional Thanksgiving Day walk at Graver Arboretum tomorrow ... we decided to go there today.

We had a lovely walk through the park ... although we didn't see much wildlife.  Only a few sparrows and one rather speedy squirrel!

And then, ironically, we saw this flock of wild turkeys while driving home.  I say "ironically" because tomorrow is Thanksgiving here in the States and the meal of choice for many American families is turkey! I wished them well!

This probably isn't the best picture ... but it's not as bad as I thought it would be considering it was a quick drive by shooting! Please have a look full screen.

This evening I did some baking for our Thanksgiving dessert ... making low carb pecan pie bars.  And we simply had to sample them tonight. Yum.
