Sinterklaas is the (typical) Dutch colleague of Santa Claus.
He celebrates his birthday on December 5th and then the children receive presents. This old Dutch tradition has long held out against the ever-increasing violence of Santa Claus.
Sinterklaas usually rides a white horse and is assisted by all kinds of brightly colored helpers.
