The Bean Jar…

It was chilly enough to have another one today but I’d already had breakfast.

Around Market Square and Market Steps two gulls have their territory. One was an egg two springs ago and the younger one from this year. They get great pickings in the warm weather but not many people hang around in this chilly weather. Gull the Younger must have been on the hunt for food because today I saw him hopping up the steps with an unbelievably long stick in his beak. I wonder who his victim was and whether they handed over the spoils willingly…
