Nature by the city

Whenever I have time and energy, my preference is to arrive at the EUI on foot. I walked, and then later back down in the dark, today, and caught my blip poking the camera through a metal gate. This view has probably not changed in centuries. Shortly after this, a couple of people I knew who were at the same workshop caught up with me, so I had no chance to take any more photographs. It rained during the day, but by the time it came to walk back into the city, it had dried off. It was a pleasant walk back down the hill.

Later on, I walked into the historical centre for the workshop dinner at Cafaggi. Convivial as ever, but I left around 9.30pm to head back to the hotel to rest. Workshopping is exhausting (actually, I find shopping exhausting too).
