Oh I hope this big toad is ok. Lured out by the milder weather, I suspect. I came across him/her as I cleaned and stored my various tools. I found a few worms as an offering.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she/he was living in the drainage pipe where we first came across a toad seven years ago.

I’m guessing they have been around for some hundred thousand years at least. As we start packing it gives our brief stay here perspective and, of course, poignancy.
