Plan B!!

Castle Combe, The Cotswolds

Stressful start to the day, watching the trains to Cardiff gradually being cancelled one by one, until finally our train was cancelled (fourth day in a row, due to flooding). So Plan B came into play and B and I headed to Castle Combe in the Cotswolds where we met up with K for a stroll around the picture postcard village.

Only 5degrees, a raw, damp cold, so after our stroll we ended up at The Manor House, a luxury country house hotel dating back to the 14th century, for a warming cuppa; so beautiful with all the Christmas decorations.

From Castle Combe we popped along the road to Ford where we enjoyed a cosy pub lunch. A lovely morning, a very belated birthday treat from B&K, and far more relaxing than wandering around Cardiff’s Christmas markets.

In extras, Castle Combe, The Manor House, the stickiest Toffee Pudding ever, and that blipper continuing to age disgracefully!

Thank you for your kind stars for yesterday’s flower power blip. Will catchup with journals tomorrow.
