Portobello Beach Edinburgh Day 332
The Musselburgh Festival galloped towards a colourful conclusion this morning with this marathon ride out round the bounds of the Honest Toun. The troupe of some 100 riders followed this flag bearing trio and sprinted to Fisherrow Harbour in pulses cheered on by a large colourful crowd of Honest Toun Burghers and a silver band from Inerleithen. The Forth was looking resplendent this morning under clear blue skies that clouded over in the early afternoon. Portobello Beach was also a hive of activity today with a rowing regatta and football tournaments taking pride of place. The oil tanker Mt Sarpen has reappeared and hangs on its achor chain off Aberlady waiting the call to load up at Hound Point. She has come up from The Mersey and will return there with 60000 tonnes of Scottish Crude oil in due course.
It was good to bump into fellow Blipper Mr Fabulous on the seawall and to learn a lot about the best lens options for my SLR Canon. Thank you!
