Witch Hazel

Poor shot and heavily cropped but it is a favourite.  Just love how these delicate yellow flowers appear to come straight out of the wood without the need of leaves.  They have suffered with the recent cold spell - most of the flowers have turned brown so I thought these might not last.  Last year, there was a second show into winter with stronger flowers and some scent.  Something to look forward to.
