Nature Diary..In the peace of the morning..

Despite the fact that the Magpies were the first to arrive today so all this morning's bird seeds had been consumed, this persistent Pigeon (who arrived too late to feed) took a lengthy time-out to simply sit and watch the early morning light evolve, the sky change its shades of grey to a hopeful pale blue, and in the stillness of the early morning it remained exactly where it's pictured standing, as I sat peacefully indoors drinking my early morning cup of tea, guietly watching him.
A peaceful start to the day.
