Norfolk in way
I almost called to cancel a few times.
It seemed like such a long way to go for such a short meeting, but going to Norfolk and back in a day would mean that I could at least lay my head to rest in my own bed.
As it turns out it was actually quite a nice day and because of some lingering Storm Bert worries the roads appeared to be a little quieter than usual, so I made it there in good time - actually arriving a little early - and used the balance to get a snap of this beautiful village church in Methwold basking in the winter sunshine.
It was flippin’ freezin’ so I didn’t linger too long before my meeting. The meeting room was only slightly less cold than outdoors and I could actually feel my body temperature dropping throughout the two hour (no brew) duration. I have never been more grateful for the heated seats warming my frozen, yet still surprisingly pert buttocks….
The journey home was again, surprisingly uneventful and I enjoyed listening to The Missing Madonna podcast on BBC Sounds.
I even made it home in time to watch West Ham win as they put a couple past Newcastle.
