An ordinary life....

Baby Blanket no 2....

for our second great niece due 28th January, now complete.

The first blanket I made for her (still to blip it) is a lovely soft white and antique pink.  This is a bit more in your face!  :-))  Should possibly have gone with a softer yellow but it is what it is.  If she's as wild as her older sister, the lurid colours will suit her!

Weather very windy today but thankfully the rain washed most of the snow away.  A very lovely shop on our High Street was having a sale in a larger retail space that is upstairs, so D was despatched to check it out.  He sent me photos of things he thought I would like and he was right.  We are now the proud owners of two new mugs, a candle holder/vase, some furry plant stems and....wait for it...a Christmas tree.  The latter is definitely blip fodder :-)

Another lazy day although I did spent a chunk of it planning my Christmas cooking and making a list of the baking I want to do.  Thankfully I can do in it advance as most things can be frozen.  Also finalised the Christmas and  New Year orders to go to the butcher next week and ordered a couple of other bits and pieces.  Mainly stocking fillers.  I am completely lacking in inspiration for gifts this year!
