Big City Life

An early start this morning to head into London.  We had a bit of a panic first thing when we discovered all the trains from Norwich had been cancelled due to a broken rail, but they had sorted the problem out by the time we got to the station.

After a quick lunch we headed over to the Old Vic where we had tickets to the matinee of Dickens 'A Christmas Carol'.  A great production and lots of fun; definitely something to put you into the Christmas Spirit even if it is still only November.

After the show we checked into our hotel and then headed over to the Royal Opera House where we met some friends for drinks in the fifth floor rooftop bar.  Good to catch up with them; a little while since we've seen them.  W and I then went off to one of our favourite Covent Garden restaurants where we had a lovely meal.

Now back at the hotel and with no useful wi-fi so I don't know quite when this will get posted.  Back home tomorrow evening but not until after a busy day planned, so apologies for the lack of comments at the moment!
