Plan B
Well the escape plan hatched last night couldn't be put into action as the V&A in Dundee, which we had planned to visit, is closed on a Tuesday. Instead we made our way to the Scottish Antique Centre at Abernyte.
We spent two pleasant half-hours before and after lunch browsing the booths but came away empty handed - they had the wrong sort of SylvaC rabbits :-). We also enjoyed lunch and went for one of their specialities - Smoked Haddock Chowder. It is full of different fish and is very tasty but also vert tasty. We learned our lesson from our last visit and stuck with the small ones as the large size proves you can indeed have too much of a good thing.
Earlier I went for a swim - it was good to be back in the water after a week away. It might have been warmer on the beach but the water temp has now dropped to 3.5 C.
In between times I worked on my Gaelic pronunciation - focusing on the different 'c' and 'ch' sounds you get in Gaelic - the former is a voiceless stop and the later a voiceless fricative and each comes in a velar and palatal version. I find saying the "ch" when it comes at the start of a word tricky and so have spent a good part of the day hissing as I practice it.
