Short Days

Not enough days in the week and not enough hours in the day.The two weeks of just grey skies have put some of the crops we need to get transplanted behind. The low light levels have stretched some of the crops including the geraniums pictured. The first sweet peas are ready for stopping to make them bush.

A hard frost forecast mid-week so I have watered around the nursery before draining down.
Helen has transplanted the 6 pack dianthus and potted the senetti this afternoon.Managed to get most of them down before dark.

Rachel from accounts (the UK chancellor) had a roasting by the CBI today while workers who had recently lost their jobs protested outside.A petition for another General Election has gained over 2 million votes in only a few days.Looks like a lot of people have had a belly full of Labour in less than six months.

A mainly dry day and some good sunny intervals. Some wintry showers and heavy rain through the night.
