Slaters Bridge

Wainwright described this as the most picturesque footbridge in the Lakes  Built  in the 1600s to give the  slate quarrymen at the many quarries just south of the bridge,  access back to their homes in Little Langdale.
We had sun, hail , showers and rainbows (extra) on our walk  this morning.  Then lunch in the Black Bull in Coniston.
