Beauty is all around us.

Every table tells a story

The Feast Day of Saint Peter of Alexandria.

It has been a very different day from the weather yesterday which gave us a repeating cycle of strong wind, rain, hail and sun. Today is very cold indeed and was 4c when I got up this morning. I have been out to the Parish Church and to visit Lynn my friend, just a short walk along the road.

The post brought my Mountain Warehouse lined Thinsulate sage colour gloves. They are so snug and warm, well worth it.

Paul and me have been keeping warm with our cats, doing puzzles, watching Escape to the Country and looking forward to The Great British Bake Off final this evening
I bought a couple of Winston Churchill themed items from Etsy and Amazon. On my birthday, 30th November, mst Andrew's Day, it is the 150th celebration of Winston Churchill's birthday in 1874. One gift is a fridge magnet with a quote from the great war leader and the other, a small book of his famous wit and wise quotes. When we've been visiting family in Surrey we used to enjoy a day at Chartwell in Westerham Kent, Churchill's Country Estate. It is run by the National Trust, so great shop food, loos and a bit pricey but well worth saving up to visit, especially in the Summertime.

I must sort out the drying now and then do some crochet.

Take care everyone and thank you for visiting my site today.
