Heathrow Airport
The taxi picked us up at 7.30am and we got to the airport without any problems. It was a nice change to be flying from the newly renovated T2 instead of where we usually fly from, T5. We had breakfast in the Singapore Airline lounge and then boarded our A380 to Singapore. I had no time for photos so snapped this one of our plane with my phone as we were boarding.
We realised we had not chosen wisely with a daytime flight, as it was a 13 hour flight and we could not sleep, having only just woken up, and then we missed the night due to the 8 hour time change and arrived at 7.30am in Singapore to eat breakfast - so we had no sleep at all.
I watched the brilliant movie Joy, about the first IVF baby and the team that pioneered this scientific miracle, and also Fly Me to the Moon which I really enjoyed. I had downloaded episodes of The Diplomat and I watched a few of those too. Singapore Airlines were very good and their food and service was outstanding.
When we landed at Changi Airport in Singapore we had only one hour to disembark, change terminals, go through security and board the plane to Hanoi, so we did not think we would make it but Changi Airport is extremely efficient and we were fine and made it in time. I doubt this could be achieved at many other airports.
The days of travelling have been confusing so I will continue our journey in the next blip as by now it was Tuesday.
