Elk Prophecy: Snow is Coming

The elk herd is down near the house which typically indicates snow in the high mountains. They stayed far away from the road and I was too short on time to walk up closer. My guess is that they’ll be around for a few days so I’ll be trying again. The males are impressive creatures, typically weighing between 700-1100lbs (315-500kg)! They have separated from this pack, now that mating season is over, and will be hard to come by but fingers crossed.
