A day in the life

Costly

Temperatures are up to plus ten degrees, a difference by seventeen or eighteen degrees in only a few days. The mild weather will keep for the rest of the week.

It seems silly to name winter tyres right now but I as mentioned in a blip from the 12 of november I changed into winter tyres on my car and had to get one repaired because it had a puncture. After it was fixed, they told me that I really needed to change all of them because they had dried out. Apparently you should never drive more than seven seasons on tyres, after that, they dry out and are more or less useless in snow. Besides, the ones I had on was illegal from the first of December because of a new law, that I never heard of but could read all about in the newspaper a couple of days later. They gave me a good price for new ones (deducting the puncture cost) and today I got them all shifted into new ones. Legal tyres in Sweden must now have one of two markings, a triple mountain peak, or this marking with snow crystals. Nice to know that I'm now driving legally. I cost me a lot but I prefer that to having to spend a lot on fines.

In the afternoon I had a booked meeting with my dental hygienist who told me that my teeth looks ok but after rinsing and doing hurtful things to them she charged me more than the cost of one winter tyre, so today will go down as one very costly day.
