Spinnaker dawn
My ferry crossing was a little bumpy, not terrible and as I was asleep in bed in my cabin it wasn't something I thought about much, but it was more than some people would have liked. This morning after breakfast in my cabin I went on deck to be greeted by the most wonderful sunrise over the Solent. I took a few pictures out to sea (see extras) and then some of the Spinnaker Tower (main and one extra).
Unloading was delayed as we had to wait for a space the car deck for the shuttle bus to fit and then we all tramped down to the deck to the bus to be taken to the terminal for customs clearance. I was through fairly quickly and made it to the train station with a few minutes to spare - so bought my ticket and ambled up to the platform.
My friends collected me at the other end, and after dropping my gifts off worked the day from their spare room. It was really good to see them again. I'd brought some old computer RAM with me, which proved most useful, doubling the capacity of one computer and tripling a second. I also helped my friend install Linux (Debian) on one computer. I took one of the now surplus chips home.
