Went to Carlisle city centre this morning which is a very rare thing for me to do.  Spent quite a long time in the cathedral which I've blipped.  I quite like the shadows on the wall.  I really enjoyed wandering  around looking at all the interesting features.  Afterwards popped into a couple of shops I haven't been in for years and purchased one or two essentials.  

Back home to find some flowers on the doorstep and some home made cakes.  Its my birthday today and one of those significant ones which come around every 10 years!  The flowers were from a couple of friends and the cakes from a neighbour.  More pressies followed later on from another neighbour.  Lots of chatting was done and messages to and fro family and friends.
