Christmas Tree

We met some friends for coffee this morning. Prior to meeting them I bought two Christmas trees from Tesco as well as some new lights and baubles. I decided I would not get out all of my old decorations and my artificial tree. I forgot to get new hangers; these will arrive tomorrow from Amazon! The larger one was £15 and the smaller one was £8; they will go into the garden after Christmas. I was not sure the larger one would fit where I wanted it to go, hence the purchase of a smaller one.
 
Today’s picture is of the larger of the two Christmas trees. I had not noticed, until I downloaded the picture that there were shadows making the newly swept hearth look a different colour!
 
The temperature at noon today was nine degrees Celsius. The wind has dropped and now almost all of the leaves have fallen to the ground.
