A Churchyard Face Off, Aylesford
Today's joint theme, after yesterday's silhouettes, turned out to be faces. Today involved an early run, more exercise, a visit to our re-opened local (hallelujah!), The Chequers, which has been closed for 9 months, a jokey beard-off, a sprained ankle (mine) and of course, as our journal name suggests, another local photographic safari much helped by the beautiful winter afternoon light.
Both images were taken on a stroll through the churchyard of our local church, St Peter and St Paul's, in Aylesford. The main image is mine and is of one of the stained glass windows with the extra being my brother's shot of the wonderfully characterful facial carvings above one of the church's side doors. You could say it turned out to be a bit of an ecclesiastical face off! :-)
