Mono Monday - Gonks

I don’t know what gonks symbolise in the Christmas spirit. I’m casting my mind back to Sunday School and the reading of the story of the nativity. Let’s see. Baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, Shepherds, Kings, Wise Men, donkeys, oxen. I have no recollection of gonks in the stable. That’s not to say that they weren’t there. “And the angel sayeth unto the three hairy gonks, fear not and rejoice, for thou shall be on sale in Christmas shops forever!”
